UNESCO World Heritage temples in Vietnam

Four Vietnamese entries fall within World Heritage properties. My Son Sanctuary, the Cham temple valley about an hour from Hoi An, has more tours than any other and is best reached at opening time, before the heat and the coach groups. Bich Dong Pagoda, built into a limestone hill, lies in the Trang An landscape near Ninh Binh, a day trip from Hanoi. In Hue, Thien Mu Pagoda, with its seven-storey tower above the Perfume River, and the Temple of Literature both belong to the Complex of Hue Monuments.
