Hong Kong's two entries are both easy by MTR: Wong Tai Sin, where worshippers shake fortune sticks, has a station of its own in Kowloon, and Man Mo Temple, hung with spiral incense coils, is on Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan. Macau's A-Ma Temple is about an hour away by ferry or by bus across the bridge to Zhuhai and Macau, and Guangzhou's Temple of the Six Banyan Trees is under an hour by high-speed train. Both mean border controls, so carry your passport and check whether you need a mainland visa.
