Tallest temples and pagodas in Europe

Europe's tallest list is short and dominated by Istanbul. The Grand Çamlıca Mosque, opened in 2019 on a hill on the Asian side, has minarets of 107.1 metres, and the Blue Mosque's six minarets reach 64. Two entries are measured by their domes rather than towers: Hagia Sophia's at 55.6 metres to the inside of the crown, and the Suleymaniye's at 53. Outside Turkey, the Dohany Street Synagogue in Budapest reaches 43 metres at its onion-domed towers, while the 17-metre columns of the Olympieion in Athens show how modest ancient heights were.
