UNESCO World Heritage temples in Spain

The three Spanish entries are medieval buildings in Toledo and Cordoba, each inside a historic centre listed as a whole. The Cordoba Synagogue, built in 1314-15, is one of only three medieval synagogues surviving in Spain, and Santa Maria la Blanca in Toledo, of about 1180, with its rows of white horseshoe arches, is another. Also in Toledo, the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz, dated 999, is a small brick mosque later turned into a chapel. Toledo's two lie on opposite sides of the old town and fit easily into one walk.
