All three of Taipei's entries are in the older western districts and can be seen in a single day by MRT and on foot. Longshan Temple in Wanhua has its own metro station and is most atmospheric in the evening, when worshippers fill the courtyards. The Confucius Temple stands in Datong, and the small Xia-Hai City God Temple, where visitors pray to the matchmaking god Yue Lao, is on Dihua Street in Dadaocheng. Entry to all three is free, and none needs a guide.
