Synagogues in the Czech Republic

The Old-New Synagogue, completed around 1270, is the oldest active synagogue in Europe and still holds services. The Pinkas Synagogue carries the handwritten names of almost 80,000 Jews from Bohemia and Moravia murdered in the Holocaust, the Maisel was the grand private foundation of a Renaissance mayor, and the Spanish Synagogue dazzles with Moorish Revival decoration. All are closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, and the Jewish Museum ticket covers most of them.
