The Temple of Hephaestus stands inside the archaeological site of the Ancient Agora of Athens, so what you buy is entry to the Agora, which also covers the museum in the rebuilt Stoa of Attalos. Tickets are sold at the gates and online through the official Greek heritage ticketing service. Alternatively, the combined ticket for the main archaeological sites of Athens covers the Agora along with the Acropolis and several other sites, and is the better value if you plan to see three or more of them over a few days.

The Olympieion is an open archaeological site with a ticket kiosk by the entrance on Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, a short walk from the Acropolis Museum and Syntagma Square. There is no need for a guide to understand it, and no need for a timed booking, so the choice comes down to how you want to pay.
The first option is a plain entry ticket, which can be bought at the gate or online beforehand so that you skip the small queue in high season. The second adds an audio guide on your phone, which explains the long history of the project and points out the details as you walk around;
