Mosque of Cristo de la Luz

Mosque of Cristo de la Luz

Toledo, Spain

There is no online ticket for the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz on its own. A modest fee is paid at the small ticket desk by the garden gate, and the building is also included in the combined tourist wristband that Toledo sells for a group of its religious monuments, which is worth considering if you also plan to see churches and synagogues such as Santo Tome, San Juan de los Reyes and Santa Maria la Blanca. Payment by card is usually accepted, but carry a little cash. Most visitors arrive on foot as part of a walk through the old town, and many come on a day trip from Madrid, about 70 km away.

Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca

Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca

Toledo, Spain

Santa Maria la Blanca is no longer a working synagogue or church but a monument run by the archdiocese of Toledo, and entry costs a few euros, paid at the door. It is also covered by Toledo's combined monument wristband, which gives entry to several church-run sites in the old town, among them the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes next door. If you plan to see three or more of them, the pass saves money and queues. No separate timed ticket is needed for the synagogue. Most visitors reach it on foot, walking down through the old Jewish quarter from the cathedral, or come as part of a day trip from Madrid, which is only about half an hour away by high-speed train.
