Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple vs Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple
Two temples in Singapore. Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple has no online ticket listed; Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple has no online ticket listed. The table and the two notes below put them side by side; the full pages have what to see, the ticket and the timing for each.
Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple sells no tickets and needs none. Entry is free, and the temple runs on donations from worshippers; there are offering boxes inside if you wish to contribute. No online ticket or tour exists for the temple alone.
Most visitors simply walk here. The temple stands on Waterloo Street in the Bugis district, a few minutes on foot from Bugis MRT station, and the street in front is a pedestrian lane lined with stalls selling flowers, joss sticks, prayer items and lottery tickets.
The Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple is a working Hindu temple on Serangoon Road, the main street of Singapore's Little India, and entry is free for visitors of all faiths. No ticket is sold, and nothing needs to be booked; you leave your shoes on the racks outside the entrance and walk in. Flower garlands and other offerings are sold in the shops along the street if you wish to make one.
Getting there independently is easy, since Little India has its own MRT station and the temple is a short walk up Serangoon Road.
