Al-Sahaba Mosque vs Al Mustafa Mosque, Sharm el-Sheikh
Two temples in Sharm el-Sheikh. Al-Sahaba Mosque has 1 ticket or tour to book; Al Mustafa Mosque, Sharm el-Sheikh has no online ticket listed. The table and the two notes below put them side by side; the full pages have what to see, the ticket and the timing for each.
Entry to the Al-Sahaba Mosque is free, and no ticket for the mosque itself is sold. It is an active place of worship that welcomes visitors outside prayer times, and the staff, some of whom speak English, French or Russian, are used to answering questions from holidaymakers. Bring a few small notes for the shoe attendant or the donation box.
What you can book is a guided walk or short excursion that combines the mosque with the rest of Old Sharm and, often, an evening at Naama Bay.
There is no ticket for the Al Mustafa Mosque, and none of the booking platforms sells a visit to it on its own. It is a working mosque in the Old Market area of Sharm el-Sheikh, and the square and exterior can be seen freely at any time. Visitors who are not Muslim are often admitted to the courtyard and prayer hall outside prayer times if they are suitably dressed, but this is at the discretion of the staff, so ask politely at the door.
Most holidaymakers see the mosque on a city tour of Sharm el-Sheikh.
